Information Submitted to Us
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that produces its results. Our servers do not retain a copy of that search. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting systems may log an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of request. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand use of its pages. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Technical Data Is Used
That limited data helps us operate the reference, address technical problems, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Texas Privacy Choices
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, effective July 1, 2024, describes rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out in covered circumstances. Because Waxahachie Residents Directory retains very little visitor information, a request is usually limited to a contact message or technical log. Use the Contact page to ask. Texas, Ellis County, and city public records are controlled by their original custodian, so a correction or removal request for one belongs with that office.
Changes to This Policy
Revisions will appear here when this policy changes. Continued use after posting means the updated policy applies.
